Trio Charged After Violent Armed Robbery At Long Island Tire Shop

Three men have been arrested after violently robbing a Long Island business and threatening an employee at gunpoint, police said.

Brothers Keyon and Kristian Miller entered Kev’s Tire Shop on Renwick Avenue in Kings Park at approximately 11:10 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 19, Suffolk County Police said.

Keyon Miller then physically attacked an employee, while Kristian Miller pointed a black handgun at him and demanded money while threatening to shoot him, according to police.

The brothers were handed an undisclosed amount of cash and then fled in a 2014 Toyota Camry that was driven by Bunice Knight III, police said.

An alert was issued for the three men, and they were later spotted by a Smithtown Fire Marshal. 

Responding police officers were able to stop the car near the intersection of Vanderbilt Motor Parkway and Commack Road in Commack and arrested all three men.

Brentwood residents Keyon Miller, 21, Kristian Miller, 19, and Bay Shore resident Knight were arrested and charged with first-degree robbery. They were held overnight and scheduled to be arraigned in First District Court in Central Islip on Friday, Dec. 20.
